Rescues are needed for dogs like Champ.

Meet Champ. He is now in our care and decompressing in his foster home. We will be working with our veterinary team to make him more comfortable, care for his skin infections as we determine the other issues concerning his health…since it is a long list.

HIs humans failed him year after year. WCBR wants to make sure his last days are only of comfort, love and care. Join us to help dogs like Champ.

Goodbye 2024 & Hello 2025

Dear WCBR Friends and Family,

Here we are once again at the close of another remarkable year together.
2024 has been a year of incredible growth for WCBR. We have rescued 76 dogs, provided essential medical care, found loving fosters, and forever families for so many deserving homeless Boxers. Each success story is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our volunteers and supporters.

This year, we also faced profound heartache as 30 of our beloved adopted WCBR dogs earned their angel wings and made their journey on to Rainbow Bridge. These dogs were cherished members of our WCBR family, and their passing leaves a void in our hearts. We extend our sincere and deepest condolences to the families who provided them with love and safety throughout their days. Their compassion and dedication ensured that they spent their last moments surrounded by their family and enveloped in unconditional love.

As a rescue, WCBR pride ourselves as a tight knit community who open our hearts to each other, helping one another through times of crisis as well as celebrating every milestone we achieve with our rescue dog. Without shame, we expose our vulnerabilities to each other and welcome gestures of goodwill among our rescue family. I feel blessed to be a part of this amazing village.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to our volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy. Your unwavering commitment is the backbone of our rescue. To our donors, thank you for your kind and generous contribution that make our mission possible. Your support enables WCBR to provide timely care and find forever homes for our rescues.

This year, we also faced challenges such as unexpected medical emergencies for Murphy, who had metastatic cancer and Super Senior Skyler, who suffered uncontrollable seizures. Each emergency crisis depleting our finances. Yet, through it all, our WCBR community has shown resilience and compassion. Together we have overcome obstacles and continued to make a positive impact on the lives of countless Boxer dogs.

In closing, I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the West Coast Boxer Rescue family. Your kindness, generosity, passion and commitment are what make our work possible.

Wishing you all a joyous holiday season and a happy, healthy 2025.

With Gratitude,
Jansen

Saving Boxers in need since 2013.

West Coast Boxer Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer based. We are dedicated to improving the lives and welfare of homeless Boxers. West Coast Boxer Rescue rescues and adopts out stray, abandoned, neglected, abused and surrendered Boxers, primarily pure bred, but sometimes Boxer mixes and other breeds. Find out more about us and our passion for this amazing breed.

We thought the roll of Boxers into Shelters and surrenders would slow by now…
this isn’t the case.

The number of Boxers being surrendered by families and in the shelters continues to be overwhelming.

We continue to receive 2-5 owner surrenders a week, along with multiple pleas from surrounding shelters for Boxers in need. So many Boxer are coming from families that are no longer able to financially care for them, just don't want them, many are dealing with illness or the Boxer's pet parent has passed away, and many just are moving. Without the funding or foster homes, sadly we have to turn away these surrenders.

We need your help.
Please Foster, Fund or be a Forever Home.
