Meet Your New Beau!

Beau is a 1 yo male boxer currently located in Capitola. He needs to be neutered and microchipped but is up to date on vaccinations and weighs approximately 60 lbs. The scars on Beau’s head were from birth, and he also possibly has a heart murmur. Even though the vet could barely detect the murmur at his last visit in April, and she believes he could possibly outgrow it, they did require a full work up before any neutering surgery. His owner, combined with their own illness, doesn’t feel prepared to handle any medical needs Beau could potentially have, even just for the neuter surgery, and is looking for our help to rehome him.

Beau is your typical high energy young boxer boy. He has had some training and will need consistency with that and lots of daily exercise. He is housebroken, and crate trained. He walks rather well on a halter leash but can be very excitable (not reactive) when seeing another dog and will start to pull. He has been raised with other dogs of all sizes and would do well in a home with dogs that aren’t offended by his high energy play style. He also coexists well with the resident cat, but will occasionally give chase if allowed, otherwise he will ignore the cat. Beau does well with children but can get excitable and may knock small ones over. Beau is an overall very sweet and playful young boy.
