Welcome Sylvester!
Sylvester came from San Jose Shelter and was placed immediately with an adopter. He snapped at one of the neighbors who adopter normally uses as a dog sitter. He was ok with him on the first meeting, but became fearful when the man showed up in flowy yoga clothes. Sadly, Sylvester was returned to us.
Sylvester “Sly” listens to firm corrections and doesn’t challenge. He is a great dog who needs a strong, assertive and loving person. He needs to be the only dog.
The crazy puppy energy will sometimes rear its head during a walk when Sly likes to bust out a quick zoomie or grab and shake the leash. It’s not an aggressive move, just some displacement behaviors and cooped up energy that needs to be released.
Overall Sylvester is an affectionate and loving dog once he bonds with and respects his human. He loves Del Taco Crinkly fries and gets treated to some every weekend.
