Welcome Roxy 2.0!

Roxy 2.0 (since we already have a possible OTI named Roxy) is a 3 yo female boxer located in Rancho Cordova. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and approximately 65 lbs. Roxy is being rehomed due to some recent behavior issues that have developed in her current home. She lives with another dog but has decided to start dominating and being aggressive with the 14 year old senior male dog.  She does live with a cat, but plays overly rough with the cat until the cat attacks her and Roxy runs away.  She has also started to resource guard the mom and new baby from the toddler in the house, which is a safety concern for the family. Because of these behaviors, we are recommending she goes to a home with no other animals and no small kids.

Roxy is housebroken, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash. Roxy has had some crate training but does get stressed being left alone in her crate and can use some additional positive crate training experience.  Roxy is a sweet goofy dog that has been under a lot of stress in the last two years with new kids entering the family. She would benefit from a strong leader and additional training, and a less chaotic and stable environment. We can take with committed foster or adopter.

** Please note: West Coast Boxer Rescue does not adopt female dogs to homes that already have a female dog.
