Phoebe is a female Boxer who was taken in as a stray after being found without an owner. Despite efforts to locate her family, no owner has come forward. She is estimated to be approximately 3 years old, weighs around 65 pounds, and is currently located in Lemoore.
Phoebe will need to be microchipped and will likely need to be spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations.
Phoebe is housebroken and walks well on a leash. It is unknown whether she is crate trained. She gets along well with the finder’s dog, but her compatibility with cats is unknown.
Phoebe is affectionate with people. However, she has recently begun displaying resource-guarding behavior toward the adult she has bonded with when the home’s young children are present. Because of this, we believe she would do best in a home with older children or an adult-only household.
Phoebe is looking for a patient, committed family who can provide the structure, stability, and love she deserves. We can help place Phoebe with an approved foster or adopter.
** Please note: West Coast Boxer Rescue does not adopt female dogs to homes that already have a female dog.
