Say Hello To Molly McButters!
Molly was rescued from Harbor City Shelter.
She was surrendered with her housemate Petey. Petey was adopted and Molly was left behind.
Molly is 3 years old. Beautiful Boxer mix with natural ears and docked tail. She is extremely bright, probably the mix in her, lol.
She can be selective, but does well with proper intro. She can coexist with other dogs, but NO cats.
Ok with older children. No toddlers as her exuberance may innocently knock them down.
Notes:
Needs slow intro to other dogs, but should be good with submissive male. Sensitive to noisy kennel situation so in large kennel in grooming area.
So much fun and so pretty.
Kids over 10 yo. recommended
Very exuberant and will jump
1/20- can be reactive when not exercised so needs an active person ideally, could be with another dog but will need strong leadership. NO to little kids. older would be ok because she likes to jump. No to cats.
1/7 - Needs daily exercise and training. Believe she is a shepard mix. Had bite notes but they said it was in her birth year and may have just been puppy play. Not seeing resource guarding at Shanderin but need slow and proper introduction...very slow keep them seperated. She has lived with another dog but will take a strong and careful leader for integration. When she is more stressed when she first gets out on the trail she will try to lunge at people. But once she gets in check, she is fine. The more she is exercised, the better she gets. Could be part of her kennel stress.
12/29 - she is having some kennel stress. Kristina has been taking her on hikes and she does ok. 12/10 - was a surrender to Harbor City shelter. She was never crate trained but loves her crate at Shanderin. Was surrendered with a male dog. Doing well with basic commands and walking on a leash. Calm, gentle. relaxed, play style is gentle and dainty.
1/25 - 1/12 Volunteer notes - gentle and calm. good in play group. Original notes - May resource guard food, treats, toys. Surrendered with another dog and both for "aggression". Only had short walks for exercise."
** Please note: West Coast Boxer Rescue does not adopt female dogs to homes that already have a female dog.
