Layla is a 9-year-old, 65-pound spayed female in Hawthorne who is being rehomed because her owners are no longer able to keep up with her care. She is not currently up to date on vaccinations and will need to be microchipped.

Layla is housebroken and walks well on leash, although she is not crate trained. She is good with people, children, and other dogs. Her behavior with cats is unknown.

Her family describes Layla as a big teddy bear who simply loves being around people. When it’s time to relax, she’ll curl up right at your feet, pass out, and snore like she’s had a hard day at work. Despite being 9, she still has plenty of energy and enjoys playing, spending time outside, and exploring.

Layla sounds like a sweet, affectionate senior girl who would love a home where she can stay close to her people and continue enjoying her adventures. She needs a committed foster or adopter who can give her the care, stability, and love she deserves.

We can help Layla with a committed foster or adopter.
