Jack Frost is an 8-year-old male Boxer currently in Lake Forest. He is approximately 75 lbs, neutered, but not microchipped and needs his vaccinations updated. He is also currently experiencing what appears to be a yeast or other skin condition that is causing hair loss and will need to be evaluated by a veterinarian.

Jack Frost needs a new home through no fault of his own. His previous guardian was living in a men’s transitional home but has since left and, sadly, left Jack Frost behind. Jack Frost is currently living in the home with seven men, but he no longer has a true owner responsible for making sure his needs are being met, including getting him the veterinary care he needs.

Jack Frost is housebroken and walks well on a leash, although he definitely prefers a leisurely stroll over anything strenuous. He is not crate trained. He does well with adults and has been a wonderful source of emotional comfort to the people around him, but he doesn’t have much experience with children. Jack Frost needs to be the only pet in the home, as he does not do well with other dogs or cats. He also has some dietary sensitivities and cannot tolerate table or people food, so he will need some help finding the right dog food for him, likely not chicken.

Jack Frost is an incredibly calm, sweet, intelligent and intuitive boy who really just wants to chill with his people. He is definitely not a runner! He adjusts easily to new people and is comfortable with people frequently coming and going from the home. After being left behind, this sweet senior deserves to have someone who will make sure he is loved, cared for and never left wondering who his person is again.
