**Sam is in need of an active home. If you are a couch potato, Sam is not your dog. He is a strong dog with energy to burn. A family that hiking or has a large yard would be great for Sam. He would do best with an individual or family that has experience with active dogs and can provide enrichment activities to keep his mind busy and challenged. Sam is not the easiest dog, but the rewards are huge to the special individual who can work with this boy and make him a part of their family.

Welcome Good Sam!

Sam was running loose in traffic when a Good Samaritan named Laura saved him. Laura loves dogs so much that she was compelled to stop and wrangle Sam out of danger while driving her extremely sick sister to urgent care.  She basically told her sister to hold on and try not to throw up while she grabbed this crazy dog!

Sam is a big, huge puppy who has absolutely zero manners. He does not know his own strength.  He is a big boy at 95 lbs. He is very friendly but his game is a little off and his size may be intimidating to some dogs.

He is very, very strong!!

He is UTD on all his vaccinations but still needs his man berries snipped.  He is approximating 1-2 yo, good with all dogs (he lived with 3 other dogs at his finder’s home without issues) unknown with cats.

He has his neuter appointment scheduled for this Thursday, 3/30/23..

Thank you Emily L. for being open to fostering Sam. We wouldn’t have been able to intake him had you not stepped up.
