Hello Beautiful Echo… Echo… Echo…

Echo is a female (spayed) Boxer/Weimaraner mix, 53 lbs and a little over 2 years old. She was recruited for search and rescue work, but loves fun too much for this serious job!

ECHO…Echo…echo… just like the sounds that bounce off canyon walls, this fun and zippy girl likes to bounce around too! She is one spunky spitfire with the smarts to go with! Sweet and petite (she looks way bigger in her photos but is really only 53 pounds tall) she is a go getter and LOVES to have fun.

Her love language? Sniffaris. She really enjoys walks and hikes where she can explore her environment. She loves to watch the world and all the exciting things happening in it!

She would make a great sport partner for someone who is willing to keep her focused and make it fun for her. Some thoughts on this? Disc, Fast Cat, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving – she is fast, agile and willing. She loves to learn and try new things. She also loves to run and jump!

Her nickname? Dinosaur. Sometimes she likes to walk on two legs. (Is there a dog sport where this might come in handy?)

Echo was surrendered to a high-volume shelter in LA when her family decided they couldn’t keep up with her energy. Unfortunately, this is a common path for many high drive dogs, and when they get to the shelter with nothing to do, their energy doesn’t dissipate, so unless someone is ready for a skyrocket (which we are) an amazing dog like this gets passed up. We love her drive and energy and look for exactly those qualities, however, Echo is a girl with not only many talents, but many interests too, so she wanted to do other things besides just work.

Although she’s not a super snuggle bunny, once she connects with you, she shows you how truly special she is and will try so hard for you!

More about Echo:
Is she good with other dogs?
Big? Small? Yes – big (we don’t have small dogs in our care, so we have not seen her with any.) She is a rambunctious and playful gal, so would love to match up her play style with the right partner.

Is she good with cats? We don’t know – when we have a dog match with a household with a cat, we can do a preliminary cat test with one of our trainers and their cat, but we don’t do it until we need to.

Is she good with kids? Yes – 10+ older – this is sort of our standard, since our dogs are on the larger size and they all are drivey, we usually suggest that they are not a good fit for toddlers and young kids, merely because of the physicality of our dogs.

If you are looking for a funny, athletic, enthusiastic and special partner, this girl is for YOU…You…you!
