Welcome Back, Bear!

Bear was returned after spending the last two years with his adoptive family.

When I went to evaluate Bear, as I approached his kennel, I saw that there was a “Caution when entering. He is very scared” sign on his door.  I called him by his OG name Odin first and then I just yelled out “ Odin Bear, It’s me!!”

I saw his face change and he greeted me with a big, happy smile.  As I entered his run, he gave me the wiggles and lots of waggles and attempted to hug me. I crouched down to let him sniff me and all he could do was give me the sweetest kisses.  Bear remembered me! It was really touching that after two years, he instantly knew who I was.  These dogs never forget their rescuers - Jackie has always said this to me and this is so true with Bear.

Bear is now 8 years old, has a sensitive spot on his neck and has bilateral hip dysplasia.  We have his vaccinations UTD and he is receiving a new treatment called Librela injection for his hips that will hopefully give him some relief.

Bear is an easy dog. All he wants is to chill in his safe spot and hang out.

Welcome back, Odin Bear.  You are so loved.
