Introducing Bambi
Welcome Bambi! A 5 year old female boxer surrendered due to her owner becoming very sick and hospitalized. She is currently in foster care with WCBR.
She is a pocket Boxer or travel size as some of us call these petite Boxer babies, weighing in at a whopping 40 lbs. WCBR is working on getting her spayed, microchipped, and all vaccinations up to date
She also has a mammary lump we need to get checked out during her vetting.
She is house trained, crate trained, good on leash, but limited experience on walks and socialization with new people. She is a slow warmer and can be somewhat fearful when first meeting a new person.
Bambi needs an owner that is willing to work on building her confidence, positive exposure to novel experiences and positive opportunities meeting new people.
She would do best in a home with a confident calm male dog that can show her the ropes, that the world out there doesn’t need to be scary and how easy it is to be around nice people. A home with her own yard would be ideal so that she can run and explore, and adjusting to her new world.
No cats or small animals.
This girl is a survivor, the runt of her litter, only surviving puppy.
** Please note: West Coast Boxer Rescue does not adopt female dogs to homes that already have a female dog.
